We are so grateful to have met Jay Ott and his crew of amazing firefighters who established the Hearts and Home Campaign for SCEP CENTRE. This campaign funded a Legacy Yard Project to renovate our outdoor space at SCEP! Fundraising for the project began with The Battle of the Badges Hockey Game - between police and fire! The event raised over $30,000 for the project which included a new concrete driveway, synthetic grass, new landscaping throughout, a vinyl privacy fence, amazing wood play features (sandbox, playhouse, mud kitchen, balance beams, etc.), new deck and railings, new doors and siding for the garages and an incredible therapeutic water feature. There were so many volunteers and local businesses - donating materials and labour. We are so thankful for everyone who contributed! It's been a dream come true! There really are heroes among us!
